The location is convenient, just a short walk from the tube station, with plenty of shops nearby. the room was in poor shape, furniture was damaged and the bed offered little comfort. The bathroom was extremely cramped, making basic use a challenge, and noise from adjacent rooms was disruptive. While breakfast was decent, it was pricier than advertised.

I booked a Single Room at the Pembury Hotel for a solo stay over the New Year. I was a bit anxious after reading several negative reviews about the smell and room size. Surprisingly, my room felt nice enough, clean without any unpleasant odors. The shower worked well with warm water. I appreciated that the area was busy with shops and transport options nearby, making it feel safe. the towels provided were quite small, not very convenient for someone with long hair like me. The staff seemed friendly but a bit overwhelmed at times. Check-in took longer than expected, which was frustrating.

The stay was decent for a solo traveler, especially as I was just looking for a place to rest while visiting London. I appreciated the warm shower and that my room was clean upon arrival, which eased my worries given the mixed reviews I had seen. The area was lively with plenty of buses and shops nearby, making it easy to explore. I did find the towels a bit small, which was a minor inconvenience for someone with longer hair like mine.

Good for solo trips!
I stayed for 5 nights in a single room, and honestly, it was way better than I expected. The shower was nice and warm, even if the cubicle was a tad small. The area felt safe with buses and shops nearby. Only wish there were more plug sockets by the bed. The place has a chill bar to grab a drink, too.

Just an ideal choice for a swift stopover in London with outstanding value for money. The staff were rude and unhelpful, which made our arrival quite unpleasant.

The nearby Dotori had some banging sushi, a real culinary gem! Plus, the minty vibes at Minted Lounge made for a perfect chill spot. Can't forget the fab location, close to loads of tasty eateries.
Bit of a faff with the hotel canceling our first night and breakfast in a bag—seriously? !
